ROSS Leaders prides itself on placing education at the forefront of our organization. To provide academic support during programming, students are separated into groups based on the respective subject/topic and paired with a tutor to assist them with any academic help they may need. We encourage our tutors to also speak to our students about their academic background and endeavors to potentially spark an interest in an area they may not have heard about or otherwise have an interest in. Students’ grades are checked on a regular basis to ensure their academic progress.

Throughout the years, ROSS students have visited multiple college campuses including Georgia Tech University, Rockhurst University, Creighton University, University of Lincoln Nebraska, Rockhurst, and University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Although not every student intends to pursue a college degree, we meet our students where they are at and encourage them to stay open-minded to all of their options.
At the beginning of the school year, tutors meet students to develop a list of academic and personal goals. Throughout the year, we regularly monitor each student’s progress to identify their strengths and weaknesses. In keeping an open line of communication with our students, we are building an intentional, student-focused program.
