Nyarok Tot is currently a junior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in journalism with minors in music technology and psychology. Having grown up in Omaha her whole life, Nyarok has witnessed first hand both the struggles and triumphs of her home community. As a child, she remembers just how close knit the South Sudanese population in Omaha was. And as she has grown up, she has since seen a huge divide among them that she believes needs to be rectified. Through her involvement in ROSS Leaders, Nyarok hopes to play a role in helping South Sudanese youth see and reach their fullest potential, while helping fortify her home community. At ROSS Leaders, you can find Nyarok updating social media accounts, and she is also the designer of ROSS Leaders' brand new website. In her free time, Nyarok likes to garden, create mixed media art, sing, and write poetry. One fun fact about her is that she can type 85 words per minute.
